I hope that you aren't upset to much about the summary. This is a short text of how to handle the supremacy of the male. This is my opinion about the topic.
You will very quickly be aware if you study historical sources, contemporary text and art or even the structure of common language that it is nearly always spoken of the history of man, the civilisation of man and so on and the woman is in best cases an object of adoration and desire.
In historical terms great parts of our species were regarded as beasts and subhuman, for example the term "barbarian", the history of colonisation and slavery. When we speak of humans, we speak of men, historically. Women were seen, not only in the abrahamitic tradition but also fir example in the roman and greek culture as lesser humans, as beings which have often the status of a property, a thing.
In my opinion history is not even written by the rich and influential but nearly complete by only men. Nearly the whole idea we have of history is defined by men writing about other men.

This is not about selfhatred or an unreflected critique, it is the conclusion that we are mostly missing half of the picture, probably more, because in history and contemporary discourse we spare not only women but also children, the poor, the mad, the minorities.
It is a point to meditate and reflect upon for all of us. So, if we speak for example about virtues, the quality of men, we could and should speak instead about the qualities of being a human and humanity. Every time we speak about a general topic and adressing it to men we should bear in mind and of course speak out loud that we mean human and not man.
This is not really a debate about gender identity and equality, it is more about that we as a species consist of the sum of beings and not only a selected privileged group. We are in most cases missing great parts of the whole picture if we spare parts of humanity out. In fact, women were treated in the western as fully humans for about a period of less than 50 years. Womens vote, womens rights, gender equality are even today a social battlefield and great parts of the so called conservatives and alt.right wish to turn back time on this topic.
So if you stumble on this page about topics concerning qualities of men and so on, please keep in mind that the liberal values of modern society are fragile and historical spoken, brand new. This maybe a problems concerning sources and topics older than a few decades.
